#10 - American Crime Story: Impeachment
Plot: From the anthology series centered around America's most notorious crimes, comes an inside look at the scandal and following impeachment trials of Bill Clinton.
Oh, how scandalous indeed. First of all, I never realized how similar Clive Owen and Bill Clinton look. The show that gave us the masterfully told story of The People vs. OJ Simpson will now give us an inside look at what exactly happened that lead to the impeachment of Bill Clinton.
Want even more scandal? Monica Lewinsky has signed on as a producer of the show. Politics or not, this will simply be good television and I look forward to hearing the highly-British Clive Owen give us that iconic line, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
Premier Date: September 27th, 2020

#9 - Space Force
PLOT: A comedy series centered around the people tasked with creating a sixth branch of the armed forces: The Space Force.
Because why not, right? I thought this sounded dumb as hell until I heard that The Office and Parks and Recreation creator Greg Daniels is creating the show AND (drum roll) will be starring Steve Carell. Please god in heaven let his character be Michael Scott in space. The Office is about to taken off of Netflix in a year and the world will need to fill the void in our hearts and I sincerely hope Space Force ends up taking the mantle.
I mean, I want this show to ACTUALLY be funny. Comedy series nowadays are soft and I can't keep watching reruns of The Office and Family Guy forever. I need some new edgy comedy so I better get it, Gregory Daniels.
Premier Date: TBD 2020

#8 - The Outsider
PLOT: What was once a seemingly straightforward investigation into a gruesome murder of a young boy, ends up unraveling into a mystery involving supernatural forces. A seasoned cop and an unorthodox investigator team up and begin to question everything they believe in.
This HBO original premiered in early January and is already halfway through it's first season, which I just recently binged in one night. The show is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, and the plot pulls out every King troupe in the book (and it's awesome). I won't tell you what the supernatural forces are because half the enjoyment of this show is not knowing what is going on, but good lord is it creepy as hell. If you like crime shows but also enjoy horror movies, give this a try because it's like True Detective but with supernatural aspects.

#7 - Hunters
PLOT: Loosely based on a true story, a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City discover hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are conspiring to create a Forth Reich in the U.S and set out to bring them to justice.
Random 70's New Yorkers teaming up to hunt down former Nazis? With Al Pacino leading them? Executive produced by Jordan Peele? Bet.
This show just looks fun. An Amazon Prime Original, this show could be their next hit if it keeps a steady tone. If Al Pacino signed on to star, then I will put my trust in their hands too.
P.S. The hunter with the mustache is Ted Mosby from HIMYM, how hilarious is that?
Premier Date: February 21st, 2020

#6 - The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Plot: After Sam Wilson (The Falcon) is handed the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rodgers, he and Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) team up to test their abilities through a worldwide adventure.
Damn, Disney called my bluff when I said I'd unsubscribe from Disney+ when The Mandalorian finished season 1. The full plot is unknown but hardcore fans have pieced together that it will involve the government parading around a new version of Captain America because Sam and Bucky are still technically fugitives. That's all I know, but damn is Sam going to look badass as hell with his wings AND the shield. I am looking forward to this Marvel series the most out of the three, because honestly, the other two are super unnecessary.
At least us Marvel fans cannot resist the hilarious bromance of Sam and Bucky.
Premier Date: August 2020

#5 - The Stand
PLOT: Based on Steven King's epic novel, The Stand follows a biblical tale of good versus evil in America after a man-made virus eradicates 99% of all human life on Earth. A false messiah has risen in the ashes and it is up to a group of survivors to stop him.
The Stand by Stephen King is currently at the top of my "Books I desperately want to read if I had the time or will-power" list. It is arguably his most popular series and was meant to be Lord of the Rings set to a modern-day America backdrop. With James Marsden, Whoopi Goldberg, Amber Heard, Nat Wolff, and Alexander Skarsgard, this miniseries has be so damn excited because this series is Stephen King at the height of his powers. It is set to be released by CBS, which has caused me some doubt but I am still optimistic.
Premier Date: Late 2020

#4 - Westworld: Season 3
PLOT: The third season of this dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, Westworld will follow two robots who make it out of the Westworld Theme park. Each with their own motives on the relationship between man and machine.
Power couple Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy return with their long-awaited 3rd season of Westworld. This show has been one of my all-time favorites for many reasons. It's super complicated and genius, causing me to do in-depth analysis and critical thinking after every episode. It is beautifully shot and beautifully written. It's pretty much what Christopher Nolan would create if he did television (it essentially is because Jonathan Nolan is his brother and writes most of his movies). It also deals with the morality of consciousness and AI, so you won't want to miss season 3 of the best show you'll always have a hard time explaining to your friends.
Premier Date: March 15th, 2020

#3 - Y
Friend: What show are you watching?
Me: Y
Friend: Damn, I'm just asking.
PLOT: Y takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event has killed every male mammal save for one lone human and his Capuchin monkey. The new world order of women will explore gender, race, class and survival.
Fellow men, imagine being the only man left on Earth and you get a pet Capuchin monkey. The women will be lining up! Half might be trying to kill you or experiment on you, some are trying to use you as a political pawn, and maybe some will love you for who you are. Fellas, is that a risk we are willing to take (yes)? This show is based on a hit comic series and has been in development hell for years. Finally set to premier in late 2020 on FX, this show is finally going to be something original and the plot seems so damn interesting. I am very excited for this series to be FX's next hit (hopefully).
Premier: Late 2020

#2 - The Mandalorian: Season 2
PLOT: The show will pick up where it left off, with the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda venturing into the galaxy in search of the child's home world.
That plot summary was kind of a guess, but that is what I am assuming Mando was planning on doing at the end of season 1. This show saved Star Wars for me (see my earlier review of The Mandalorian Season 1) and it seems it did for a lot of people because Disney already realized this has become its flagship show and have already green-lit season 2 to be released this year. The world is DYING for the triumphant return of the crowned price of the internet, Baby Yoda.
Premier Date: October 2020

#1 - The Devil in the White City
PLOT: The show tells true story of two men, an architect and a serial killer, whose fates were forever linked by The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893: Daniel H. Burnham, a brilliant and fastidious architect racing to mark his mark on the world and Henry H. Holmes, a handsome and cunning doctor who fashioned his own pharmaceutical “Murder Castle” on the fair grounds.
Holy shit, Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up again to make a show with DiCaprio set to star? Hulu, you've managed to catch me right when I was about to unsubscribe, you cunning bastards.
I mean, this show is going to be based on a crazy story (that happens to be true). DiCaprio will star as Holmes, who at the time was considered to be the first modern serial killer. I imagine this being a psycho-thriller with horror elements. It is set to be released on Hulu in very late 2020, but I'm guessing it's lack of production news will mean it could be pushed to 2021. No matter, I will be eagerly waiting nonetheless.
Premier Date: whenever Leonardo DiCaprio feels like it
