#10 - Black Panther

Soundtrack by Ludwig Goransson

Regardless on your opinion of the movie, you can't deny it has probably the best soundtrack of any MCU movie. The combination of traditional African beats and a blaring orchestra make for such a unique theme. This scene always gives me chills.

#9 - Game of Thrones

Soundtrack by Ramin Djawadi

A show as big as this needed a soundtrack to match it, and Ramin Djawadi gave that to us and then some. Following along with Howard Shore's style of using leitmotifs as a storytelling element, Ramin creates a whole world through just his music.

#8 - Blue Planet

Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer

Though this is the only non-movie in here, I included this because it has the best soundtrack to any documentary out there. Especially this collaboration between Hans Zimmer and Radiohead...It is a match made in heaven.

#7 - The Crown

Soundtrack by Rupert Gregson Williams

The overall soundtrack to this historical bio series was excellent and really made simple political drama saturated with suspense and emotion.

#6 - Star Wars

Soundtrack by John Williams

How could I not include one of the most iconic soundtracks of all time. Universally recognized even by people who have never seen the movies. The best track being, of course, a track with as beautiful a title as it's notes - Binary Sunset.

#5 - The Social Network

Soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

This soundtrack is the most minimalist out of the top 5, but that's on purpose. What gets me is the way the music is used to enhance the dialgoue written by the all-time great screenwriter, Aaron Sorkin. I mean the soundtrack clearly carries the tone in each scene.

#4 - Inception

Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer

I mean you all knew this would be on here. Another classic from the best composer, Hans Zimmer. The soundtrack ranges from making you cry to making you want to run a marathon, to making you question the very fabric of your reality.

#3 - 1917

Soundtrack by Thomas Newman

The most recent to have been release, this soundtrack absolutely floored me. Aside from this being one of my favorite war epics ever made, the soundtrack is what made it for me in the end. Especially the first one, Night Window, which along with the spectacular cinematography, made for an almost dream-like experience.

#2 - Interstellar

Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer

Okay, you have all listened to this soundtrack when you're studying at some point. I may or may not have bought the entire CD for the soundtrack and my car doesn't even have a CD player. If y'all saw the tantrum I threw when the damn GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL won best score over this. Give Hans Zimmer his Oscar or so help me god.

#1 - The Lord of the Rings

Soundtrack by Howard Shore

Here it is. The greatest soundtrack of all time. I could have included dozens of other tracks from the trilogy in here. The way Howard Shore uses leitmotifs to give certain themes to every character and place creates a whole new kind of storytelling. It's genius and I won't tolerate any Lord of the Rings slander.
